This article guides clinicians through linking their TherapySearch profile to TherapyPortal, enabling prospective clients to request and schedule appointments directly through TherapyPortal.
Note: You must be a TherapyNotes user to continue with the steps below.
Check the following settings in your TherapyNotes account to successfully link TherapyPortal within your TherapySearch profile.
Practice Level Settings for Client Portal
Role Required: Practice Admin
Verify the Practice has enabled the Client Portal functionality. To enable or to confirm you have, click Settings > Client Portal.
The following client permissions should be set to “anyone”:
- Allowed to view available appointments
- Allowed to request appointments
Clinician Level Settings for Client Portal
Role Required: Clinician
At the individual clinician level, Client Portal Scheduling should be enabled within the work schedule settings.
- Individual Clinicians must have a work schedule and work locations defined on their work schedule page.
- To set up a Work Schedule or review the Work Schedule: Staff Tab > Staff Name > Work Schedule. To learn more, read Work Schedules.
TherapySearch Clinician Profile Setting
Role Required: Clinician
- Navigate to TherapySearch and log in to your account.
- Navigate to Edit Profile. To access the Edit Profile tab, use one of these options:
- Select Edit Profile from the Dashboard page.
- Select the Clinician Profile tab in the top navigation bar.
- Navigate to the Locations section and select the checkbox for I am a TherapyNotes User and would like to offer scheduling through TherapyPortal.
- Enter information into the Practice Code, Clinician and Office Location fields.
- Some of this information may be automatically populated for you, depending on your practice configuration with TherapyNotes.
- When you are finished, click Save Locations.
