You can highlight your participation in an interstate teletherapy compact directly in your TherapySearch profile. This helps prospective clients quickly see the states where you’re authorized to provide telehealth services.
Role Required: Clinician
How to Add a Compact to Your TherapySearch Profile
-
- Login to your TherapySearch account select Edit Profile.
- Under the Locations section, navigate to Services Offered at this Location.
- Select an option that includes telehealth.
- Navigate to the Telehealth section and choose the compact you participate in: Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) or coming later this fall, Social Work Interstate Licensing Compact (SW Compact).
-
- Once a compact is selected, the compact will appear within the States I provide telehealth services in section.
Note: By default, all compact-eligible states are included and automatically selected in the telehealth states drop-down list.
-
- You can customize the States I provide telehealth in list to accurately reflect your service areas. To select specific states, first select the entire compact. Then, add only the states where you offer telehealth services. Each state in the dropdown includes its corresponding compact name for easy reference.
- If you work with clients in multiple locations, your compact participation choice will automatically apply to any new locations you add.
Note: Removing the compact from your list of telehealth states doesn’t remove mention of it from the Experience and Credentials section of your profile.
How Clients See Your Compact Participation
Your compact participation and license information are displayed in the Experience and Credentials section of your public profile. Prospective clients can also view the specific states where you offer telehealth services.
