For Your Practice
- Generate Client History Summaries
- The Client History Summary feature has graduated from beta and is part of the TherapyFuel package. These AI-generated summaries appear at the top of the Client History Form and while writing Intake Notes, making it easier than ever to reference important details.
- Populate Insurance Policies
- Entering insurance information is quicker and easier with the help of TherapyFuel. You can capture a photo, upload, or drag and drop an image of a patient’s insurance card—and it will automatically extract and fill in the key policy details in the patient’s billing settings.
- Generate Contact Notes
- Keeping thorough records of client interactions is critical, but manually documenting every exchange can be time-consuming. TherapyFuel can generate Contact Notes for you directly from secure message conversations - summarizing interactions instantly for appropriate record-keeping. Simply navigate to a message thread and click "Generate Contact Note." Leave the heavy lifting to TherapyFuel, which will draft the subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) fields for you! Once the note has been generated, you can review and make any necessary edits to ensure accuracy before finalizing the note with your signature.

- Session Assist
- Prepare for upcoming individual therapy sessions by viewing concise pre-session summaries using recent signed progress notes and the current Treatment Plan. Available in both TherapyNotes and the TherapyNotes Mobile App, Session Assist can highlight identified risks, previous session plans, and recent treatment summaries to support faster, more informed session preparation.
TherapyFuel Pricing
TherapyFuel can be enabled for $40 per clinician per month, and you choose which clinicians subscribe. If at least one clinician in your practice is enrolled, everyone in your practice automatically gets access to Generate Client History Summaries, Generate Contact Notes and Populate Insurance Policies for free.
If TherapyFuel is enabled for all clinicians, everyone in your practice automatically gets access to Adjust Tone in Secure Messaging.
Managing Your TherapyFuel Subscription
Enabling TherapyFuel
- Navigate to Settings > Account and Access > TherapyFuel.
- Choose your preferred option:
- Enable for all clinicians
- Enable for selected clinicians
- If enabling for a subset of your clinicians:
- Select Enable for selected clinicians.
- A table of active clinicians will appear. Select the clinician(s) for whom you want to enable TherapyFuel.
- Click Save TherapyFuel Settings
- A green confirmation banner will appear: “TherapyFuel enabled. Your subscription rates will be updated accordingly.”
- To access the list of users included in your monthly charges for TherapyFuel, click Settings > TherapyNotes Subscription > Billing History. Click on any item labeled TherapyFuel Charge in the Type column.
Opting Out of TherapyFuel Promotions
- If you decide not to participate in TherapyFuel’s promotional offers, you can opt-out by:
- Navigate to the TherapyFuel Settings by clicking Settings > Account and Access > TherapyFuel.
- Click the link labeled Opt Out of TherapyFuel Promotions.
- Confirm your choice.
- A confirmation popup will appear with the message: “Opt out of TherapyFuel Promotions? TherapyNotes may offer free trial uses of TherapyFuel. By opting out, we will not offer these free uses to any of the clinicians in your practice.”
- Select Opt Out to confirm your decision.
- This can also be confirmed by opening up the TherapyFuel Settings page, which will display “Promotions Disabled” at the top right where “Not Enabled” is.
Disabling TherapyFuel
- Navigate to Settings > Account and Access > TherapyFuel
- Navigate to the lower-right corner of the TherapyFuel page and select Disable TherapyFuel.
- A confirmation dialog will appear: “Disable TherapyFuel? TherapyFuel will be disabled for your practice. You will no longer be charged beginning with your next billing cycle.”
Select Disable TherapyFuel to confirm.
A confirmation banner will appear: “TherapyFuel disabled. You will no longer be charged beginning your next billing cycle.”
