While a more robust client check-in feature is being considered for the future, practice staff such as receptionists and schedulers can use Appointment Alerts to denote that a client has been checked in.
Because the information in TherapyNotes updates in real-time, when a user adds an Appointment Alert to an appointment, other users will see the alert immediately as long as they are logged in to TherapyNotes and viewing the calendar.
Role Required: Any
To indicate that a client has checked in:
- Click Scheduling
- Click on the desired appointment on the calendar.
In the Appointment Alert field, note that the client has checked in. We recommend adding a consistent, easy-to-see message such as "Checked In."
Click the Save Changes button.
The Appointment Alert will automatically be updated on the clinician's calendar in real-time, as shown below.
